Charismatic Man v Food host Adam Richman has revealed that he will be filming scenes in the UK for a new food show next year.
Although the 38-year-old dismissed the possibility of a return to the scoffing challenges that launched him to international stardom, Adam did tell Mirror Online at a Food Network UK event that he hopes to be able to showcase some of Britain’s tastiest traditional dishes.
“British grub has influenced so much of American cuisine, I can’t wait to highlight the tasty treats specific to different parts of the UK,” he said.
“This country may not be as big as the US, but boy do you have a vast amount of regional delicacies.
“Everyone around the world is familiar with cottage pie and bangers and mash, but it is about time foodies around the world got to know more about the likes of black pudding, Staffordshire oatcakes, Baltis and faggots.”

Adam continued: “I’m particularly interested in the rise of quality snacking at events where Brits come together en masse, whether that be at Craven Cottage [Fulham FC’s home ground] or Comic-Con.
“I’ve already been having a few discussions with [ex Spurs midfielder] Rafael van der Vaart about which footy team has the best pies.”
He added: “Pasties featured in Man v Food when we visited Butte in Montana , but we had so much correspondence from Cornish people telling us that their pasties are the best, it only seems right to give the noble pie it’s due!”
Describing the original Man v Food series – which has inspired spin off shows such as Man v Food Nation and Adam Richman’s Best Sandwich in America - as “the little show that could” the Brooklyn-born personality also told of his pride in how the regionally-specific programme has travelled over borders and continents to find an audience in this country.
“We started off with a show where I was a second cameraman, filming extra footage for the show as we made our way round America,” he said,
“I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to know that what started out so small has found so many viewers over here.”
A keen football fan, Adam will also make his debut on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Fighting Talk on Saturday, November 17.
